The final stage of the Republican Olympiad started
On 7th May, 2015 in accordance with the action plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan in Finance and economics Institute of Tajikistan started the final stage of the Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the country, dedicated to the 3000 anniversary of the Ancient Hissar and the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Marhabo Jabbori took part at the opening ceremony. Before the Olympiad she visited classrooms, gyms, testing center, had a talk with the students, encouraged them to excellent study and active social life.
Speaking at the opening of the Olympiad, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Nuriddin Saidov noted that the results of the Olympiad will be the indicator of the quality of the activity of educational institutions in the country. The purpose of the Olimpiad is to determine talented students, involving them in research activities. The Minister urged the jury to objectively evaluate the knowledge and skills of students. He also noted that two or three worthy participants can claim to one prize place. N. Saidov ordered the rectors of the institutes to present cash prizes to the winners of the Olympiad.
Marhabo Jabbori wished luck and fortune to the participants of the Olympiad. In her speech, she noted that the economic development of the society first of all, depends on success in education. In this regard, education is recognized by the President and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan priority in the social policy of the state.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, with the aim of improving education, raising the status of teachers and the promotion of workers of education today the Government of Tajikistan has created all favorable conditions. Educational and research institutions provided with the appropriate material and technical base.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon touching on issues of education in his Message, paid special attention to improving the level and quality of education, the introduction of innovative and active learning methods. The President touched upon the matters of transition with highest scientific institutions on credit system of education. He urged the heads of educational institutions to implement internationally recognized standards of the systems to take serious measures for the study of innovative technologies, equipment for schools and universities with modern equipment and to ensure the effectiveness of the quality of teaching, to pay special attention to the learning languages.
Marhabo Jabbori stressed, referring to the participants of the Olympiad: «These calls of our President oblige you as the most talented and gifted students, to gain the necessary knowledge and skills and make a valuable contribution to the development of our motherland».
It was also noted that at the present stage of the development of education and science the provision of educational institutions by the effective quality of teaching, qualitative teaching material, improvement of qualification of teachers, the transition to modern methods of teaching, improvement of material and technical equipment of institutions are of great importance.
Then Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Bazorali Odinaev informed the participants of the Olympiad about conditions of carrying out of competitions and the rules of selection of judges.
The students were divided into groups on subjects.
358 students from 36 universities of the country will take part at this competition; they will compete in 12 subjects (Tajik language and Literature, English language, Russian language, Mathematics, Information technology, History of the Tajik people, Philosophy, Political science, Chemistry, Biology-ecology, Physics, Economic theory).
In the evening Amateur ensemble of Finance and economics Institute of Tajikistan will perform with cultural-artistic program in front of the participants of Olympiad.
The results of the Olympiad will be announced on 8th May.
