The Purpose: improving the legal culture

Any state, striving for real democracy, attaches great importance to the high civic education of the individuals, respect for laws and regulations, willingness to participate actively in law enforcement. These qualities are essential aspects of legal culture, the development of which allows to the creation a law-based society. In this regard, on June 4, 2015 in FEIT on the initiative of the Economic and Financial Law Department in the framework of the USAID project about land reform and restructuring of dehkan (farmer’s) Economy in Tajikistan was the presentation of the book «The Basics of Land Rights» and demonstrative lesson of the teachers of the mentioned Department on the discipline Right to the land. This project is implemented in FEIT, with the support of the administration of the Institute of the non-governmental organization «Law and Development of Rural Jamoats». In the project implementation involved the teachers of the Economic and Financial Law Department. Chief lawyer of the project Shavkat Ismailov, the lawyer of the project Shuhrat Shorahmonov and project specialist on media Madumar Nurmatov took part at the presentation.

It should be noted that in the framework of the implementation of the abovementioned project 4 teachers of the Department take courses of improvement of professional skills, and special lessons are held for 200 students, studying on law specialty. The teachers of Economic and Finance law Department conduct classes – assistant professors Khaitov S., Boboev J., teachers Oralbaev H., Kodirov Z, Sharipov U., Sharifzoda T., Yokubova G. During the lessons the teachers use interactive teaching method.

The issues of  legal regulation of land relations in the Republic of Tajikistan, the law on land use, property rights on land, management issues in the sphere of using and protection of land and the problems associated with liability for violation of legislation in the sphere of land use, etc are considered in the book “The Basics of Land Rights”. The book is written in accordance with the program of the course «The Basics of Land Rights», and was published by the NGO "Law and development of rural Jamoats".

The USAID project on land reform and restructuring of dehkan (farmer’s) economy in Tajikistan provides support of promotion of land policy, legal innovations, and promotion of a market for land use rights. The project envisages the publication of various materials, the organization of seminars, etc.
