Constitution Day was celebrated in FEIT

On November 3, 2015 a solemn meeting devoted to the 21 anniversary of the adoption of Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in the assembly hall of the Institute. The event was opened by Vice-Rector of Research G. Ashurov, who noted that the Constitution laid the legal foundation for the development of the country and created favorable conditions for peace, stability and national unity throughout the country.

The representative of the National Centre for Legislation under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Shahriyor Orifi participated in the event. He congratulated the teachers and students on the occasion of the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution.

Then presentations were made by Head of the Economic and Financial Law Department, PhD in Law, associate professor Saidali Khaitov on theme «Content, Essence and Significance of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan» and the assistant of this Department Sulaymon Dustov on the theme «Role of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan in the revival of national and universal values». The speakers noted that the Constitution is the basis of all the current legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, establishes the foundations of the constitutional system of the state, guarantees the rights and freedoms of citizens, establishes a system of state power. In this regard, the Constitution plays a fundamental role in improving the state system, the establishment of socio-political ways and cultural transformation, creativity and accomplishment.

The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan as an official legal document has public and state significance, is the legal basis for the development of a democratic state, the creation of an effective system of state power, expresses the interests of the people. The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan provides national independence and integrity of the country, guarantees constant form of management, territorial integrity, democratic, legal, secular and social essence of the republic recognizes the people the only source of state power, determines the state status of the Tajik language, internal and foreign policy of the state, expresses the high national and state interests.

At the final part of the event G. Ashurov once again congratulated everybody on the anniversary of the adoption of fateful document- Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.
