A look at the current state of regional statistics

The regional statistics is understood as activity for collecting and processing of objective reliable economical and statistical information about regional growth of the country. On the basis of regional statistics made estimation of economic activities in the regions, the market economic conditions, the investment attractiveness of regions is determined, which allows to set goals and objectives of management, to develop programs and forecasts of social and economic development of regions.
On January 19, a round table on the theme «Development of the regional statistics in the Republic of Tajikistan» was held in FEIT. Vice-Rector for Science G. Ashurov made an opening speech and noted that the holding of a round table by the Department of Statistics is timely and can contribute to the development of the industry.
The Head of the Department of Register of Enterprises, Organizations, Classifications and Organization of Reports of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Nigina Radjabova made speech on the topic «Theoretical and methodological foundations of regional statistics»; the Head of Department of generalization and economic analysis  and international relations  the same Agency Hurshed Kosimov on theme «The system of indicators of regional statistics»; Head of Statistics Department Management of Statistics and the balance of payments of the National Bank of Tajikistan Rano Ismoilova on theme «Regional statistics of the banking system in Tajikistan: problems and prospects of development»; Candidate of Economics, associate professor of FEIT Saidhodja Madiev on theme «Potential socio-economic analysis of the region»; Head of the Methodology and Development of Normative and Legal Acts Department of the National Bank of Tajikistan Nazar Soliev.
The speakers noted that accurate and reliable information of regional statistics allows to apply effective methods of management directed on  achievement sustainable economic development and the improvement of the welfare of the population.
In the final part of the event  a constructive dialogue were between the participants of the round table.
