Counteracting Extremism and Terrorism is the Purpose of the Youth

On February 27, 2018, at the initiative of the Work with Youth Department and the Department  on Educational Work, in the framework of the unified plan of the activities of the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan and the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan a meeting of representatives of the above-mentioned department with students was held in FEIT which was aimed at the formation of the political outlook of youth, the strengthening of their patriotic feelings and feelings of national consciousness, as well as opposition to the religious extremism and terrorism.
Senior Assistant to the Head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Karimzoda Tohir, the members of the «Avangard» group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan took part at the event.
The Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of  FEIT Firuz Kodirov opened the meeting, who explained the participants the purpose of organizing such events.
Then, Yusufzoda Akmal demonstrated videos about organized crime, terrorism and extremism, its negative consequences and impact on society. He noted that in the modern world, extremism and terrorism, spread by missionaries, is one of the most acute and topical problems. It poses a real threat to the society, the state, and the vital interests inherent in every person. This threat is multifaceted, because at the regional and global scales there are many varieties of such phenomenon as extremism and terrorism, which often acquire a commercial basis. The spread of these phenomena has terrible consequences, including criminals who control and manage people's behavior to achieve their own goals. There is no greater danger in modern society than extremism.
The members of the group «Avangard» showed a video to the participants about the true aims and intentions of extremist parties and organizations.
The meeting was organized in order to prevent extremism in the youth environment and to prevent the entry of ignorant youth into extremist organizations and parties.
