The Role of the Leader of the Nation in Strengthening the State Language

On October 3, 2018 in honor of the Day of the State Language, on the initiative of the Tajik Language Department at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University, a scientific-theoretical conference was held on the theme «The Leader of the Nation is Defender of the State Language». The researchers, experts and university professors of the country took part at the conference.
The rector of the university Shukrullo Khairzoda opened the conference and congratulated the participants of the scientific event on the Day of the state language, and noted that the national language in the life of each nation has a special place. Language is the basis of the development of society and is the bearer of the culture of the people, and therefore it is called the fundamental element of the spiritual and cultural world of values. The Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rakhmon, is rightfully considered the protector of the state language. Today, in all institutions and departments of Tajikistan, all documents are carried out in the state language. The rector noted that the Tajik language has become a scientific language and a huge number of scientific works are published on it.
Then, Doctor of philological sciences, professor Alii Muhammadi Khurosoni noted the special role of the Leader of the Nation in the development of the state language and recited his own poems.
Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Stylistics and Artistic Edition of the National University of Tajikistan Bahriddin Kamoliddinov reviewed in his scientific presentation some of the urgent problems of complex sentences in the Tajik language. The professor noted with regret that today the language of the majority of mass publications does not correspond to the norms of the Tajik literary language. The authors should remember that mass media are a mirror of the national language, the language of the media should be a model for learning a particular language. Professor Kamoliddinov B. noted that native-language speakers should respect their mother tongue, take care of it and strive to ensure that the Tajik language does not lose its state status and importance.
Professor of the Tajik State Finance and Economics University Shahboz Kabirov made a speech on the topic «A Brief Overview of the History of the Tajik Language and its Place in History». The speaker, noting that the Tajik language belongs to Indo-European languages, spoke about the periods of development of the Tajik language. He gave detailed information about the study of the written heritage and the status of the Tajik language during the period of the conquest of Central Asia by the Arabs, about the place and status of the Tajik language as the state language in the modern era.
Professor Kabirov Sh. noted that the era of independence is a new period in the development of the Tajik language, during this period of time there were profound changes in our language.
The teacher of the Agrarian University named after Shirinsho Shotemur Mamura Gulova in her speech noted that the language is one of the fundamental elements of statehood, and each of us should strive to ensure that this foundation remains unshakable.
The process of globalization may limit the use of one or another language, it can lead to the disappearance of the language, and therefore the position of politicians plays a special role in preserving and strengthening the national language. The Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, with the awareness of this problem, outlined the main focus in his work on the preservation and development of the state language. Literate, beautifully delivered and effective speech of the Leader of the Nation, his speeches at international events once again prove that he is the main defender of his native language, - noted M. Gulova.
In the final part of the plenary session, the students recited poems dedicated to the Leader of the Nation and the Tajik language.
In the afternoon, the conference continued its work. The researchers in the field of language made presentations on the role of the Leader of the Nation in the development of the state language, the place of the Tajik language in the socio-economic life of society. There was read a report, which reviewed the historical significance of the work «The language of the nation is the wealth of the nation». The conference participants noted that the preservation and strengthening of the Tajik language of paramount importance is the implementation of tasks and instructions set by the Head of State in this direction.
