Strengthening National Identity

On October 30, 2018 within the framework of the implementation of the joint plan of activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting between representatives of these departments and students of TSFEU was held. The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University Amrullo Nuralizoda opened the event. Noting the importance of such meetings in improving the legal culture of young people, A. Nuralizoda gave a positive assessment of the cooperation of the university with the ministries.
Then, the Chief inspector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Nigora made a speech at the meeting. According to her, the organization of such events plays an important role in the implementation of adopted laws and the prevention of crime among young people. During her speech, Sharifzoda Nigora gave information on the crime among young people. It was noted that in the last nine months, 3,908 crimes committed by young people were registered, which is 322 less than last year. During the noted period, 55 crimes committed by students were recorded, which is less by 18 compared to the same period last year. This indicator is the result of explanatory works. It is regrettable that during 9 months the number of suicides among youth has increased. There were 84 cases of suicide recorded (48 cases among boys and 36 cases among guys).
It was noted that as a result of joint inspections conducted in universities and secondary schools, it was revealed: 1400 cases of attending classes with long hair; 945 cases of late for classes; 15 cases of non-compliance with the requirements for wearing recommended clothing by the relevant departments; 37 cases that the students come to university by their private cars. Officials responsible for educational work in universities need to strengthen their work with students in order to prevent such shortcomings, Sharifzoda N. summarized her presentation.
Also, Deputy Head of the Service for the Prevention of Offenses among Juveniles and Youth of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mirzozoda Abdukodir and the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Nosirjon Buriev made a speech before the students. They spoke on the topic of preventing the involvement of young people in various extremist groups. It was noted that according to official data, there were fewer cases of student involvement in extremist movements today, which is the result of the opposition of the relevant authorities to the process of the spread of extremism among youth. Unfortunately, today 377 citizens of Tajikistan participate in military actions in the territory of Iraq and Syria. Extremism is a tragic delusion. Hiding behind the name of Islam and the slogans of jihad, extremists destroy the values of Islam. A true Muslim does not accept terror and extremism in any form. Islam serves the salvation and well-being of man and society. The best jihad is serving the parents and the Motherland, fighting with one’s own pride and greed, the guests noted. They encouraged students to master knowledge, improve skills in the use of innovative technologies, be politically vigilant and socially active members of society.
