Positive results of the activities of TSFEU in 2018

On January 10, 2019, an extraordinary extended meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University with the participation of teaching staff and employees of the university. The representative of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Askarali Barotov took part in the meeting.
In accordance with the agenda, the rector of  TSFEU Khairzoda Shukrullo Kurbonali made a speech before the participants of the meeting, who reported on the results of the university’s activities for 2018 and defined the objectives of the university for 2019. All directions of the activities of the TSFEU over the past year were reviewed in detail at the report. After analyzing the activities of all departments of the university, the rector noted that the main task of the university’s activities in 2019 will remain to provide quality educational services and ensure the quality of education of students. Activities will be intensified with the aim of improving the methodological, scientific, educational work, international relations will be further strengthened, and the organizational structure will be improved.
2018, with its memorable events, has become historic for the people of Tajikistan. Our university has also achieved significant results for the reporting period. A significant event of the year was the granting of university status to our university by Government Decree  of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 169 from March 27, 2018. The new status of the university requires more diligence and responsibility from the staff, - noted Khairzoda Sh.
In 2018, a new three-storey educational building with 200 seats was put into operation. We are proud that the State Flag was hoisted for the first time among the universities of the country at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University, as an expression of respect for national values and love for the Fatherland, - noted the rector.
The other achievements of the TSFEU in 2018 were also noted at the report, including: increasing the number of teachers with academic degrees and foreign students who wanted to study at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University, a large number of educational and scientific events of international level, the arrival of foreign professors for lecturing to students of TSFEU, inviting the teachers of our university to foreign universities.
Along with the successes in the report, some shortcomings were noted that become a barrier to achieving results. Including criticized: failure to plan publications, lack of academic progress of students, shortcomings in the preparation of examination tests, shortcomings in the activities of some curators of academic groups.
As the Rector of TSFEU noted, in 2018 the number of foreign students, studying at the university increased. If in 2017, 25 foreign citizens studied at TSFEU, in 2018 their number reached 300.
The total number of students at the TSFEU is currently 7637 people. In the 2017-2018 academic year, 58 students graduated from the university with a diploma with honors. 
Nasriddinov F., Sodikov M., Kalakov J. took part in the debate and after submitting constructive proposals for eliminating the noted deficiencies, suggested that the activities of TSFEU in 2018 be considered satisfactory.
Then, the rector of TSFEU, Khairzoda Sh.K. in a solemn atmosphere, presented the Head of the Department of Economic Theory, Professor Firuzjon Nasriddinov with the Diploma of Honorary Professor of the International University of innovative technologies of Kyrgyzstan. This is the first case of obtaining the title of honorary Professor of a foreign University by teachers of the Tajik State Finance and Economics University.

For productive professional activities, active participation in the public life of the university, training of highly qualified specialists in the field of finance and economics, the Honorary certificates of TSFEU were awarded: Professor of Higher Mathematics Department Nurullo Usmonov, Professor of the Humanities Department Gulomjon Mirzoev, the Head of the Insurance Department Sadihoja  Maidiev, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Information Modeling Khabibullo Khabibulloev, Senior Lecturer of the Systems and Information Technologies in Economics Department Firdavs Sohibov and Assistant of the Enterprise Economics and Entrepreneurship Department Nigina Urunboeva.
By the order of the Rector of the TSFEU, the winners of the competition «Girls-masters of 2018» were presented with tablets, including: in the nomination «Initiative Girls» - a third-year student of the Information Technologies in Economics Faculty Namuna Gafurova; in the nomination «Talented Girl-2018» - second-year student of the Management and Economic Law Faculty Nilufar Rahimzoda. The winner of the republican competition «Student of the Year» - a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Business Albina Kukanbekova was awarded a Honorary diploma of the university and a tablet.
Eight members of the university volleyball team, who took the first place and won the Cup of the chairman of the Sino district of Dushanbe, were also presented with Certificates of honor of the TSFEU and the tablets.
