The Republican quiz was held at TSFEU

On April 13, 2019 a Republican quiz on topic «Tajikistan – the Initiator of the Solution of Water Problems» was held at the Tajik State Finance and Economic University, which was timed to the International decade of action «Water for sustainable development, 2018-2028». The quiz was organized by the administration of the university, Science and Innovation Department, as well as the Natural Sciences Department. 21 students participated in the final stage of the competition. The students from the branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in Isfara, Russian-Tajik Slavonic University, Tajik Technical University named after academician M. Osimi, Pedagogical University of Penjikent, Kulyab State University named after A. Rudaki fought for the victory.
The objectives of the organization of such events: to attract the attention of the public, scientists and industry experts to the solution of environmental problems; promotion and development of environmental protection; formation of awareness of state policy in the field of environmental protection and its support; improvement of knowledge and skills for the effective use of natural resources; demonstration of the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in solving global environmental problems and his initiative in proclaiming the period 2018-2028 as the International decade of action «Water for sustainable development». 
Vice-rector for Education A. Nuralizoda, Vice-rector for Science B. Safarov, head of Department for Science and Innovation D. Khojaev, the professors of the university and guests took part in the opening ceremony of the event. Welcoming the guests of the university, B. Safarov noted that today the Tajik State Finance and Economics University is one of the most prestigious universities in the country, which trains highly qualified specialists for the spheres of economy and finance. In his speech, B. Safarov emphasized the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the effective solution of issues in the field of water and energy and the intention to establish active cooperation in this direction with all interested countries. B. Safarov noted that our President was able to once again involve the world community in solving global problems related to the provision of drinking water and climate change in the world.
Then, the participants of the quiz completed the tests. After checking the answers, the winners of the quiz were determined. 
In the period of time when the jury members checked the tests, we talked to some of the participants of the quiz. We give their answers to our questions and their impressions of participation in the event.
Dilfuza Rajabova is a first-year student of the Natural Sciences, geography and physical culture faculty of the Pedagogical University of Penjikent:
- It is the first time I visited the capital. We are very happy that three students from our university were the participants of this quiz. We were able to fully answer the test questions. For me the main thing is not only the victory, but the participation in the event. The participation in the quiz gave us the opportunity to see Dushanbe city, we visited TSFEU, found many new friends.
Amirjon Huseynov is a fourth-year student of the Chemistry, biology and geography Faculty of Kulyab State University named after A. Rudaki:
I visited your University for the first time, we were welcomed very warmly. The competition was organized at the highest level, all the questions were very interesting, I fully answered them. I am glad that I became a participant of this quiz.
Mehriyor Abdiev, a third-year student of the branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in Isfara town:

This is the first time I participate in the competition at the republican level. My main goal is not only to achieve victory. By participating in the competition, I would like to express my attitude to the global environmental problems. Young people should be socially active and strive to implement the initiatives put forward by our President. The participation in the event and visiting TSFEU became a joyful event for me. 
Guldasta Sattorova is a first-year student of the Accounting and Statistics faculty of TSFEU: I am infinitely glad that the competition was organized by our university and was held at a high level. The best students of universities of the country took part at the event. Such events give students the opportunity to find new friends, strengthen ties of friendship, improve the knowledge. I felt a sense of pride when the guests expressed their admiration for our university. It is necessary to hold such events more often. 
The members of the jury, after reviewing the answers of the participants of the quiz, evaluated them, guided by the current Regulations. Thus, the students of TSFEU Diana Davlatova and Usmonjon Djuraev, having received 50 and 43 points, respectively, won first place, the second place won a student of Kulyab State University named after A. Rudaki Amirjon Husainov, the third place won the student of the branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in Isfara town Mehriyor Abdiev and a student of the Pedagogical University of Penjikent Dilfuza Rajabova. The winners were awarded diplomas, certificates of honor and cash prizes.
It should be noted that the conditions of participation in the competition were printed in advance in the university newspaper and posted on the website of the university, as well as sent to all universities of the country. The finalists were selected after writing the essay and invited to the final stage of the competition.
