Presentation of the Dissertation Council

Over the past few years, the Tajik State Finance and Economics University has achieved tangible results in all areas of its activities. The creation of the Dissertation Council at the University can be considered one of the main scientific achievements. 
On April 20, 2019, the presentation of the Dissertation Council was held at the TSFEU. The event was attended by assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on economic issues, Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid; the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Kahhorzoda Faiziddin Sattor; Chairman of the State institution of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Rozikzoda Abdulhakim Sherali; the deputies of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli; the members of the Dissertation Council, lecturers and staff of the university. 
The Rector of TSFEU Shukrullo Khairzoda opened the presentation. After welcoming the guests, the rector of the university noted that in 2018, thirteen lecturers of the university defended their dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences. In modern conditions, when the government pays special attention to the development of science and education, the training of highly qualified specialists that meet international standards is the primary task of higher education institutions. The dissertation Council at TSFEU was established to consider and defend theses for degrees in Finance, Banking, Business administration and other areas of economic sciences. The other goal of the Dissertation Council at TSFEU is to strengthen the scientific potential of the university.

Then, Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid congratulated the participants with a significant university event. He noted that the Tajik State Finance and Economics University is the main basic university for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of finance and economy. The creation of the Dissertation Council at the University can be considered a solid step towards the solution of the tasks set by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, a Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in strengthening the scientific potential of the country in the field of Economics and Finance. Solehzoda A. A. urged the members of the Council to be selective in the choice of dissertation topics. He noted that the topics of scientific dissertations should be relevant, reflect the problems of economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan, based on the National development strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, state programs and concepts. 
The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Kahhorzoda Faiziddin Sattor congratulated the lecturers and staff of TSFEU with the creation of the Dissertation Council and on behalf of the Founder of the university - the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the State institution of Higher attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for assistance in resolving this issue. He noted that all the necessary conditions have been created for the effective work of the Dissertation Council at the University. The Council will contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the international labor market.
The Chairman of the State institution of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Rozikzoda Abdulhakim Sherali in his speech noted that it is the eighth of the Dissertation Council established by Higher Attestation Commission for the training of scientific personnel in the field of economics. The quality of scientific research depends on the effective activity of dissertation councils. He urged the members of the Dissertation Council to be responsible and demanding in their activities.
In the final part of the presentation, specific recommendations on the activities of the Council and the identification of experts were proposed. 
We would like to remind you that on April 3, 2019, by the order of the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan № 67 at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University, the Dissertation Council for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) was established.  Under the dissertation Council the dissertation may be defended for the scientific degree of the Doctor of Sciences, in specialty 6D050600-Economics, 6D050900 - Finance, 6D050200 - Business administration entrepreneurship and academic degree of candidate of Sciences, in specialty 08.00.05 - economy and management of national economy: regional economy and 08.00.10 - Finance, Monetary Circulation and Credit.
It is gratifying that the scientific journal of TSFEU «Moliya va Iqtisod» is nominated for inclusion in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals included by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the list of publications recommended for publishing the main scientific results of dissertations for the scientific degree of candidate and doctor of Sciences.
