Summing up the activities of TSFEU

On July 29, 2019, an extended meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Tajik State Finance and Economics University with the participation of staff and lecturers of the university.
On the first issue on the agenda, the Rector of the University Khairzoda Shukrullo Kurbonali made a report «On the Results of the Activities of the TSFEU in the Second Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year and the Tasks of the Staff for the 2019-2020 Academic Year».
Reporting on the work  in the second semester of the 2018-2019 year, the rector outlined the main objectives of the TSFEU for the 2019-2020 year. The work of all structural subdivisions of the university during the reporting period was thoroughly reviewed, and based on the results of their work were made recommendations, to improve educational, methodical, research, educational, financial and economic activities.

The rector noted that during the reporting period, TSFEU achieved great success in all areas of its activities. Including, the Dissertation Council was established at the university to defend a PhD degree, the final stage of the Republican Olympiad among universities of the country was held at the university, at the result the students of TSFEU won 1 - first place, 2 - second places, 3 - third places  and 2 honorary places in the top three. In the ranking of the best universities of the country, the Tajik State Finance and Economics University ranked fourth. The university continues the implementation of the projects of  European Union «Public Finance Management» and the World Bank «Development of Vocational Education». At the moment, work is underway to obtain a license for the construction of a new four-storey academic building, - noted the rector.
The results of work in the research direction are also tangible. It is gratifying that in the outgoing academic year 10 teachers of the TSFEU defended their dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Science. Round tables, scientific conferences at the international level were organized at the university, professors of prestigious universities (including 6 foreign professors) were invited to give lectures, cooperation agreements were signed with 9 foreign universities, 11 students became participants in exchange programs.
Reporting on the results of admission of students last year, Khairzoda Sh. noted that 41,300 students who applied to the National Test Center chose TSFEU as the intended university to continue their studies (3,600 people choose TSFEU as the priority university).
At the moment, the total number of students at TSFEU is 7422. In the 2018-2019 academic year, 44 students graduated from the TSFEU with a red diplomas.
Along with the achievements, the rector noted a number of shortcomings that impede the further development of the university. It was also noted that the curricula are not always fulfilled, mistakes are made in the compilation of syllabuses and curricula, the work of not all the curators meets the requirements, comments have been made on the quality of the demonstrative lessons. To eliminate the noted deficiencies, the responsible persons were given specific instructions.
The teachers: Mukimov K. and Homidova K. took part at the debate and offered to consider the activities of the university during the reporting period satisfactory.
In conclusion, the rector of TSFEU Khairzoda Sh.K. awarded the certificate of honors to a number of university staff and teachers for their contribution to the development of the university. In particular, there were noted the work of the Head of the Tajik language department Madislom Rakhmonov, the Сhief editor of the university newspaper Mashkhura Abdulloeva, the teachers of the economic, financial and anti-corruption law Mizhgona Kholinova and Nigora Solieva, the teacher of the economic analysis department Kukhzoda Shodieva.
A first-year student of the Finance and Credit Faculty Parvina Shamsova was awarded a Certificate of Honor and a Tablet for taking first place in the Republican festival-competition «Malikai Chakan», which was held from June 15 to June 17 in Kulob.
According to the results of the rector's speech, instructions were given to the responsible persons of the university, aimed at improving the teaching, research and educational activities in the new academic year 2019-2020.
