Nowruz magnificence at the TSUFE

On March 20, dedicated to the International Nowruz holiday, a solemn event was held at the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics. In the event participated the leadership of the university, faculties staffs and students of the university. At the beginning of the event, the management of the university and guests appreciated sports achievements of students, as well as festive “dastarkhans”, decorated according to the festive principle of "haft sin", "haft shin" and "haft mim".
There also was organized at the festive site, an exhibition of folk crafts, national clothes, and students dressed in outfits of brides and grooms represented various regions of Tajikistan. Celebrating the arrival of spring is uncompleted without sports. Competitions in tug of war, national wrestling, and weight lifting were organized on the sports ground. Festively dressed students recited poetry, sang songs and danced. The arrival of the bride of the year, Spring, and the peasant's grandfather, gave the celebration a special splendor.
The solemn part of the event began with a congratulatory speech by the rector of the TSUFE Shukrullo Khairzoda. Congratulating participants with the upcoming spring and the arrival of Nowruz, the rector mentioned that Nowruz is an ancient Tajik holiday, its roots go back to the periods of Zoroastrianism and the emergence of agriculture, this true folk holiday appeared more than six thousand years ago. The ancient holiday of Nowruz personifies the awakening of nature and bright hopes, a feeling of happiness, unity and spirituality reigns everywhere.
Nowruz symbolizes the rebirth of nature, the triumph of life, purity of thoughts, hope for a better life, inspires people to create and noble work, cleanses hearts of envy and resentment. Good thoughts, good words and good deeds are life concepts that are an integral part of Nowruz.
It should be noted that on the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National unity - Leader of the nation, President of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon, Nowruz has been included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity since 2009, and in 2010 March 21 was declared International Day of Nowruz. 11 years have passed since this date, and we are proud that our Nowruz has acquired the status of an international holiday, -the rector emphasized.
Then, the amateur ensemble of the TSUFE "Javoni" presented an interesting concert program, which included songs and dances, stage performances according to festive theme.
The event took place in a festive and solemn atmosphere.
