Meeting with the participants of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council
- There have been going on the ceremonial meetings dedicated to the fateful and famous 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan for a week at the university. At the conclusion of these events, we wanted to invite and meet the prominent public figures, veterans of labor, participants of this Session - former Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan Rafika Musoeva and the statesman, former head of Varzob district Abdulvahhob Saidmuradov, who supported the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon by voting and who made a significant contribution to the strengthening of national peace and unity, - said the Rector of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics, candidate of economic sciences, Associate Professor Hakimbek Abdualimzoda during a large-scale ceremonial meeting under the title "The Place of Emomali Rahmon in the Formation of National Statehood" and he called the guests the treasures of knowledge and precious gifts.
Continuing his report, the rector stated that the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of the twelfth convocation 30 years ago made an immense contribution to the strengthening of National Statehood and the development of democratic institutions. The election of Emomali Rahmon as the Chairman of the Supreme Council is considered a unique achievement of this assembly. In his first emotional speech, the newly elected Chairman of the Supreme Council expressed his opinion in support of the creation of a democratic and law-based state, the return of refugees to the Homeland and efforts for eternal peace.
Strengthening the words of Rector of TSUFE, the stateswoman Rafiqa Musoeva added: "This day - November 19th, 1992 was historic and memorable for us, the representatives - participants of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council and the whole Tajik people. Because a man of God who managed to end the civil war, a man who loved his Homeland, his Nation and his Land more than his life, Honorable Emomali Rahmon was elected as the Leader of the state. After the election of the Chairman of the Supreme Council, the people got hope for the future and new inspiration.
She further stated that history gives faces to every people and nation at different historical stages, so that they bear the burden of the society, self-knowledge, regulation and development of the nation. For the Tajik nation such a respected figure is Emomali Rahmon. 
Further, another participant of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council, Abdulvahhob Saidmuradov said that the protests and demonstrations started in the beginning of the 90s years of the last century, which were tense, terrible and difficult years for the Tajik nation. Demonstrators changed the political situation every moment and made unconstitutional decisions against national interests. It was this session that gradually stabilized the tense situation of the republic.
The Head of the Department of Economic Theory, Professor Firuzjon Nasriddinov made a speech in the discussion and, recalling the beginning of independence and timely initiatives and measures, expressed his gratitude to the first persons - the direct participants of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan for accepting the invitation and meeting with teachers and students of TSUFE and said: “Thank you for your right choosing of the worthy Leader!”
