" Research on banks and financial crises "
Nobel lectures under the title "Nobel Prize and Economic Sciences" were held at the TSUFE with the participation of representatives of the Board of the Spitamen Bank Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk".
The director of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Sharif Rahimzoda gave a report in the lecture on the topic "Research on banks and financial crises".
The main reason for the topic to be named as such is that the scientist Ben Barnanke from the United States of America won the Swedish National Bank Prize in the field of economic sciences in honor of Alfred Nobel, which is unofficially and symbolically called the Nobel Prize in the field of economics, specifically for the study of banks and financial crisis. Therefore, a large part of the meeting was dedicated to the topic of development of banks.
During the opening of the event, Vice-rector for International Relations, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Firuz Kodirov welcomed the guests and expressed that meetings are always held at the university in cooperation with the banks of the republic, and it plays an important role in connecting theory with practice.
- The Nobel Prize is a great award of the world level, it is given to deserving people every year and it is important to hold such events at the university level to increase the level of knowledge and intellectual skills of teachers and students, - said F. Kodirov.
At the beginning of his speech, Professor Sharif Rahimzoda mentioned that the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in his Annual Addresses «On Major Aspects of Tajikistan’s Foreign and Domestic Policies», along with other fields and daily directions, pay special attention to the issue of banks. Also, the Head of State provide useful instructions and assignments to the National Bank and the banks of the country. This indicates that the activity of banks and the implementation of necessary measures and correction of shortcomings are aimed at the development and progress of banks and, in general, the economic and social life of society. At the same time, the inclusion of the issue of banks in the Address indicates the necessary recognition of banks.
In the continuation of the report, Sharif Rahimzoda expressed his opinion about Alfred Nobel and his award. Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist, physicist and inventor who lived in 1833-1896. He has a total of 355 inventions by himself. The Nobel Prize is one of the most prestigious and respected awards in the world, because it is awarded to a person for achievements that are of universal importance. This award is given annually to scientists, scholars and politicians for the results of special scientific research, special works of art or meritorious contribution to the development of society, ensuring peace and stability in the world.
It is given to scientists in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology and medicine, literature and peace prize. Until now 863 people from 25 organizations have received this award. Economics is not included in Nobel's legacy, but in 1969, the State Bank of Sweden established the Alfred Nobel Prize in the field of economic sciences on the occasion of his 300th anniversary. Until nowadays 94 people have received this award.
