Review of strategic issues of national economic development

On the initiative of the Department of Science and Innovation and the Chair of Business and Entrepreneurship Economics there was held an international scientific and practical conference at the university on April 1 of this year on the topic "Strategic priorities of the development of the national economy in the conditions of the transition to an industrial-innovative economy" with the participation of foreign guests.
There took part in it the delegation of guests headed by Yury Nikitovich Moseykin, d.e.sc., Professor, Head of the Chair of national economy of the University of Friendship of Peoples of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba and Atabek Isaev from the Dehnav State University of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The conference was opened by Firuz Qodirov, vice-rector for science of the university, who congratulated the guests to TSUFE and called this trip a solid step to strengthen cooperation.
Then Professor Moseykin Yu. made a speech, wished success to the participants of the conference and called its topic important. The speaker evaluated the activity of the University of Friendship of Peoples of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba and the development of joint programs with CIS universities in the direction of training of scientific personnel, and called it compatible for the progress of both sides. 
Further, Atabek Isaev gave important information about the activities of the Dehnav State University of the Republic of Uzbekistan and emphasized that this school also has an economic faculty and is ready to cooperate with TSUFE and expressed his satisfaction for organizing such a conference of international importance.
Then, Nezhnikova Ekaterina Vladimirovna, d.e.sc., Professor of the Chair of the national economy of the University of Friendship of Peoples of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba gave a comprehensive speech in English on the topic "ESG standard (Environmental, social and corporate governance) as the basis of sustainable economic development". 
Speaking about the importance of the ESG standard, the speaker noted that its standards were created as a response to environmental pollution, climate warming and economic inequality between rich and poor countries, which created an additional basis for the emergence and development of new financial tools and standards. . The professor showed the indicators of the implementation of these standards all over the world and called the Western countries leaders in this direction.
Then Bahadur Makhkamov, c.e.sc., Leading researcher of the Institute of Economics and Demography of NAST gave a report on the topic "Rapid industrialization in Tajikistan: situation and prospects".
There was said that due to the importance of the industry in solving social and economic problems and creating jobs, the rapid industrialization of the state has been announced as the fourth national goal. The global experience of industrialization in the developed countries of the world proves that it is the main means of solving social problems.
She noted that the technological structure should be followed for the implementation of rapid industrialization, because it is connected like a chain, and the development of one sector is closely dependent on another. For nowadays conditions, light industry, metallurgy and chemical industry should be developed more in the Republic of Tajikistan, depending on market requirements.
The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has also established tax incentives to attract foreign investors in the creation of industrial enterprises, for example, in the direction of processing agricultural products, production of textile products, etc., all of which play an important role in the acceleration of industrialization. The speaker supported this initiative and added that more than 100 joint ventures were established as a result. The speaker compared the share of the industry in the GDP structure of several countries and emphasized that it is 25.5% in Tajikistan (the Russian Federation - 32.4%, the Republic of Uzbekistan - 33.7%) and she recommended some effective ways to increase it. 
Then Yegoricheva Elena Aleksandrovna, c.e.sc., Associate Professor, Head of the master's program "International Business" of the University of Friendship of Peoples of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba made speech on the topic "One Belt One Road" as a new direction of China's foreign economic policy (in the conditions of the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan)" and spoke about the importance of this project for Tajikistan and the region as a whole. She noted that within the framework of this project, implementation of the CASA-1000 energy project, construction of international roads and internal roads is envisaged in Tajikistan.
The speaker noted that the purpose of this project is to change the driving forces of economic development.
During the discussion, the Professor of the Chair of business economics and entrepreneurship of TSUFE Faqerov Kh. and Makhkamov B. made speeches and presented scientifically based opinions on the discussed topics.
The conference continued its work in the sections "Problems of the development of innovative activity in the Republic of Tajikistan" and "Providing infrastructure for the development of the national economy in the conditions of the transition to the industrial-innovative economy".
It is necessary to remember that the visiting delegation met with the rector of the university, Abdualimzoda Hakimbek, signed a cooperation agreement, and visited the laboratories of digital economy and customs activity, the department of monitoring and quality of education, and other achievements of the university, leaving a good impression.
