Purposes and Tasks of the IMF and Some Questions of Development of Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan

On May 16, 2014 at faculty of the International economic relations at the initiative of Representation of the International Monetary Fund and Finance and economics institute of Tajikistan the seminar lecture on the subject "Purposes and Tasks of the IMF and Some Questions of Development of Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan" took place.
Teaching staff of the faculty and students of specialties Finance and Credit in Foreign Economic Activity, Customs Business and World Economy participated in the work of a seminar. 
The rector of Finance and Economics institute of Tajikistan Soliyev A. A. made opening speech at the seminar – lecture. He noted, about necessity of multilateral cooperation of the IMF and the Republic of Tajikistan and also emphasized the main objectives of the IMF.
Then, the constant representative of the IMF in Tajikistan Aydyn Bibolov thanked the participants and made presentation about IMF activity. In the presentation A. Bibolov noted that the IMF is the specialized institution of United Nations system created on the contract in 1945 for assistance to improvement of world economy. 
Also he provided concrete information on structure, function and about sources of means of the IMF, rendering assistance to the member states, the main stages of credit activity, including about conditions of granting preferential and not soft loans, technical assistance and staff training.
It should be noted that the participants asked numerous questions to the constant representative of the IMF. The seminar - lecture took place in a benevolent situation.
At the end of the seminar - lecture rector of FEIT Soliyev A. A. thanked participants and guests. He noted that cooperation between Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan and IMF Representation in Tajikistan on preparation of highly qualified staff and retraining of teachers will be continued.
