It should be noted that at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the country every year on September 1 is celebrated as the Day of Knowledge. On this day the Lesson of Peace is held at all institutions of the republic. Carrying out the Knowledge Day on nationality level says that education is determined by our President and the Government of priorities and strategic direction of policy, in connection with it the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is constantly increasing the amount of funding this sphere. It should be noted that the Government has created favorable conditions for the education of young professionals and scientists. Only the state that shows due attention to education and science can maintain its socio-economic situation in the international community as the education is a sphere of creation of the future of the country. 

The development of all branches of the national economy and ensuring proper living standards of the people first of all depends on the quality of trained specialists, level of education, the development of science. Nowadays science and technology is developing a tremendous pace, opening up new horizons for scientific and technological progress, but at the same time humanity is increasingly faced with the finance and economic crisis. All this should inspire us to constantly improve our knowledge and skills.  

If we are interested in the development of our homeland, we should keep up to date, study innovative technology, extensive use of information and communication technology in our professional activity. However every young professional following the instructions of our President should know at least two foreign languages especially Russian and English languages. 

We are proud of the great sons of our illustrious people, including Rudaki and Saadi, Aini and Bobojon Gafurov and many others. Noble birth, the veneration of science and culture of our people, the care of our President, Government and the state of education and the future of young people inspire us to new discoveries and achievements. Our task at this stage is that we have to make a significant contribution to the development of our education and the national economy through the preparation of highly qualified personnel that meet the requirements of international standards and the modern labor market. It is gratifying that our institute is making a worthy contribution to the development of education and training specialists of economic and financial branch.  

It should be noted that for several months were carried out repair and restoration works of the new building of the Institute. There are 24 studies, 34 auditoriums, two computer labs, test center, conference hall and a sports hall. A new dormitory was opened to the students, located next to the new building. The dormitory is four-storied building, there are 34 rooms on each floor and 4 auxiliary places, including bathrooms, toilets and kitchens. A new one-story building also was repaired and put into operation, where is situated the electronic library and dining room.  

Now there are two dormitories in the Institute where the students from distant regions live.  

It should be noted that in December 2013 the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan successfully passed the national attestation (License AU №0001421 from 02.06.2014 for educational activity) and accreditation, according to the results received the Certificate №235 from 08.04.2014. 

At this stage the administration of the institute is actively working to improve the level of teaching and improve the learning process, as well as the transition to electronic operation of institution, the passage of regional and international accreditation of individual specialties and directions.  

For ensuring competitiveness of institute in the international market of education Strategy of development of FEIT for 2013-2020 a main goal and activity of institute is providing a labor market with highly qualified personnel of the finance and economic branch meeting the requirements of the international labor market. To achieve this goal the institute is working in the following directions:  

- The establishment of an electronic institution;  

- The establishment of new specialties and directions that meet the requirements of the international labor market, as well as the establishment of distance education;  

- On the basis of cooperation with foreign educational institutions implementing double degree programs;  

- The establishment doctoral studies and dissertation councils for doctoral and master's theses;  

- Attracting international grants;  

- Increase in the number of published educational and methodical, research materials, books, monographs and other inventions;  

- Increasing number of departments and faculties, as well as the establishment of university on the base of institute. 

To achieve the objectives of the Institute the administration of the institute relies primarily on the staff of the institute, on the teachers with an awareness of its mission and objectives are doing everything to improve the educational process in the institute.  

The administration of the Institute believe that the staff and teachers of the institute will direct all their efforts to prepare highly qualified specialists and education of true patriots, strong-minded, active, having intellectual capacity and moral principles.  

I would like to congratulate today our first-year students who joined the ranks of our students and become a part of our large and friendly collective. I believe that you will strive to make maximum use of every opportunity to gain knowledge, develop skills to participate actively in the social life of the Institute and to make contribution to the development of the institute.
