Access to virtual scientific library of Tajikistan
Virtual library is rather new phenomenon. The trained seminar on subject "Use of Virtual Scientific Library of Tajikistan" was held on October 23, 2014 at the initiative of Department of International Relations and Research Department of FEIT. It was urged to become the initiator of active distribution of this concept and the main thing of what it is connected with. The representative of the Virtual Scientific Library of Tajikistan took part at the work of a seminar. It should be noted that the staff of FEIT meets the representative of this scientific institution for the third time.
The vice rector for International Relations of FEIT B. Safarov opened the work of a seminar. He noted that the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan is the member of the Virtual scientific library of Tajikistan since 2012. Also it was noted that in the current year the VSL function underwent a number of changes, and the purpose of a seminar is to acquaintance users with these changes.
The guest of the seminar – the coordinator of the Program of Virtual scientific library of Tajikistan Sokina Karimova acquainted participants with the functions and the main activities of the VSL. It was noted that VSL is the website which provides free and easy access to more than 12,8 million full-text research articles on many scientific disciplines, consolidates access to more than 16500 journals from the major publishers and prominent research repositories. The VSL will allow researchers to search and download articles from the collections: DOAJ, OARE, AGORA and HINARI. S. Karimova acquainted participants of the seminar with functions of the website, its contents and use in research works.
The director of the FEIT Scientific Library B. Kodirov noticed that the institute and 174 organizations and institutions of the republic is the member of the VSL, and has access to use of information resources of the Scientific Virtual Library of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that the Virtual Scientific Library of Tajikistan gives the chance of access to full versions of scientific articles in all directions of science and technology of both native and foreign authors.
