The start of realization of new EU project in FEIT
On Tuesday 20th January, 2015, in the framework of the kick-off of the EU project « LOT 1: Support to selected areas of Public Finance Management reforms-EuropeAid/134384/DH/SER/TJ », the leadership of the Finance and Economic Institute of Tajikistan organised a visit for the Project Key Expert team and the representatives of the Louis Berger Consortium. During the visit, the members of the delegation visited the Institute Campus with the new teaching auditoriums, sports complex and the extensive Library.
This new EU-funded project aims to support the implementation of the Public Finance Management reforms planned by the Government of Tajikistan and brings together a Team of leading international experts from the USA, Europe as well as the CIS region in the fields of Macro-economic forecasting and fiscal policy formulation, MTEF, Fiscal decentralisation as well as Educational Institution strengthening.
The project experts will be hosted in the Finance and Economic Institute of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Finance premises, for the next three years and will work hand-in-hand with the institute leadership and their Tajik counterparts to support the implementation of the Public Finance Reforms and further development of the Finance and Economic Institute of Tajikistan.
