General information

Finance and Credit college under the Ministry of Finance of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Tajikistan was established in 1942-1956. During (1946-1956) a large group of professionals for the financial industry of the country was produced by this college, who have made a huge contribution to the development of finance and insurance institutions of Tajikistan.

This college before the Great Patriotic War was in Leninabad (Khujand). 200 students have graduated college every year. During the war, the activity of the college was suspended and only at the end of 1944, the institution resumed its activity in Stalinabad (Dushanbe). In 1948, the college was provided with qualified teachers. There were 260 students in the college.

The branch of Union Correspondence Finance College was formed in 1957 -1973 on the basis of the Finance and Credit College in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Tajikistan.

In 1973, in accordance with the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, Council of Ministers of Tajikistan USSR dated 22 October 1969 and the letter of the Ministry of Education of the USSR on August 21, 1972, No. 92-01-680 (09-06-11) Finance and Economics College of Dushanbe was reformed. In 1973 a new building of the college was commissioned (at present FEIT building). During (1973-2009) thousands of highly qualified personnel of the Finance and Economics College of Dushanbe were trained, who contributed to the development of the economy in and out of our country.

The good policy of President of our republic Emomali Rahmon and the basic regulations and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, contributing to the development of all sectors of public life, a huge opportunity to reach a large and creative change were given. During the creation and updating of the real life of our citizens has become essential solution to the problems related to education, which will allow for the widespread introduction of advanced modern technology, training of highly qualified specialists meeting the requirements of international standards, to be aware of all the world's scientific achievements, and ensure the sustainable development of our country on this basis.

The formation of the Finance Institute of Tajikistan is one of the achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan during the years of state independence, was established by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No.345, 18.06.2009 on the basis of the Finance and Economics college of Dushanbe.

Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan was established by the Decree of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 227, May 11, 2012 by joining the State educational institution "Finance Institute of Tajikistan" and the State educational institution "Economics Institute of Tajikistan ".

The Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan is a state educational institution where students are trained on the contractual and budgetary basis. There are material and technical, intellectual potential in the Institute. The curriculums of the Institute, answering all the requirements of the international standard of training, take into account the achievements of modern native and foreign economic science. The latest educational technology widely used in teaching. The administration and teaching staff of the Institute are constantly improving the education system and teaching methods. High competitive staff is prepared in the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan, which meets the demands of the modern labor market.

The main objective of the establishment of the Institute focused on implementation of the financial policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, integration into international educational and training high qualified personnel, claimed on the international labor market.

It should be noted that during recent years, FEIT reached great results in the activity, became one of the most important research and education, innovation and cultural centers of the country. This process contributed to the solution of a number of new strategic objectives by the administration and the staff of the Institute. The outcome of which is the sustainable development of the whole complex of the Institute. 

It should be noted that at the same time with the advancements in the institute, there are some shortcomings, the removal of which is currently the main task of the administration and the staff of the institute.

Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan is the state educational institution, founded by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan. Institute trains high qualified specialists of finance and economic direction.

It should be noted that education reform affected not only the school but also high educational institutions. One of the results of the reforms is the emergence of numerous universities, where along with other experts and specialists train specialists of finance and economic direction. But not always, these institutions provide the necessary result, because their graduates are not kept on the labor market. This is primarily due to the fact that in certain universities still based on the old training conservative methods.

Simultaneous training of the specialists in one direction at several high education institutions creates competition, which may contribute to improving the quality of education and raise the level of experts, but on the other hand, it entails high costs and the destruction of the state production plan, distribution and using of personnel.

It should be noted that the high professional institutions in training personnel should take into account the level of demand professions in the labor market. Only subordinate institutions have the opportunity to train specialists for the most popular destinations rely on the situation with human resources, consider the labor supply. According to these advantages was established Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan by the Ministry of  Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The main objective of the State and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of education, including the achievement of conformity to the European standards of education, promotes FEIT based on credit system of education to achieve competitiveness among higher educational institutions of the country and the region. The administration and staff FEIT previously specifying directions of development, define new tasks of the Institute, as a big competitive educational, scientific and innovation center.

The applied orientation training is important for modern specialist of finance and economic sectors. FEIT focuses on attracting lecturing experienced practitioners. The highly qualified teachers of the prestigious international and native educational institutions, representatives of international financial institutions, heads of banks, insurance and audit companies, major financial and industrial structures train the students.

 The graduate students of the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan can work as financiers, economists, financiers-brokers, financial analysts, planning and economic departments, financial advisors, leaders in finance, financial directors, banking and insurance specialists institutions tax and customs authorities, accountants, auditor, programmers and make a  contribution to the economic development of our state.
