History of Economic Theory

Department of Economic theory was one of the first Departments opened in the Tax and law Institute. To the post of the first Head of the Department was invited a graduate of the Faculty of Economics, with political economics speciality, who has graduated the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Associate Professor - Saidmuradov Lutfillo Khabibulaevich The Department taught the following subjects as: economic theory, history of Economic Thought, the Economic history of foreign countries, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.

All these disciplines were taught on the highest level, by such scientists as: Academician Rakhimov R.K., Academician Kayumov N.K., Professors Mamadnazarbekov M.N., Umarov H.U., Toshev O.T., Dustboyev Sh., Safarov N., Saidmurodov L.Kh., Kandiyorova D. O., Usmanova T.J., Gonmakhmadov Sh.B., and others.

In 2002, at the Tax and Law Institute (on the basis of the Department of Economic Theory), together with the Research Institute of Economics under the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, has organized association for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations. Many scientists of the republic such as: the first Rector of the Tax and Law Institute Gulmirzoev DG - doctoral dissertation, Saidmurodov L.Kh. - doctoral dissertation, Kandiyorova D.O. - Doctoral dissertation, Rakhmatov H.B. - doctoral dissertation, Khushaev U.I., Safarov B.G., Ibrogimov I.R., Islomov T.S., Umarov D.M., Shamsulozoda Sh., Alishoev H., Ubaidov F.S., Makhmadaliev F .S., Sandalov H.A. and others defended their scientific works in this Council.

The Department annually holds international and republican conferences, scientific seminars, round tables and other scientific and practical events of interuniversity and within the university level.

The Heads of the Department in different years were: Professor Saidmurodov L. H., Professor Islomov S. I., Professor Mirsaidov A. B., associate Professor Ubaydov F. S., Professor Nasriddinov F. B.

It should be noted that with the direct participation of the Department of Economic theory are held, all discussions of the dissertation in the university.

Currently, the Department has two professors, six associate professors, five senior teachers and eight assistants. The department has close relations with the departments of economic theory, Tajik National University and the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service.
