HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Administrative Law and Anti-Corruption was established on the basis of the Department of Economic, Financial, and Anti-Corruption Law in order to implement the measures arising from the State Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan dated August 3, 2021, No. 222, for the period until 2030. The department was founded by a decision of the Academic Council of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics in 2025. It currently operates under the name “Department of Administrative Law and Anti-Corruption”.

The department’s activities are aimed at training specialists in the field of law, particularly in public administration and law, as well as legal support of customs activities. Since its establishment, beginning from the 2025–2026 academic year, the department has been headed by Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Subhonali Ahtamjonovich Mirzoev.

Today, the department is one of the leading departments of the university and trains specialists in the following fields:

• 1-26020201 – “Public Administration and Law” — preparation of specialists in public administration and jurisprudence.

• 1-96010101 – “Legal Support of Customs Activities” — preparation of legal specialists in the customs sphere and the work of customs authorities.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

The department maintains close scientific cooperation with all scientific institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, collaborating in the preparation of scientific materials, textbooks, and professional training.

It is expected that the department’s faculty will continue to serve as official reviewers and that the department will act as a leading institution in the following legal fields:

• 12.00.01 — Theory and history of state and law; history of legal doctrines

• 12.00.03 — Civil law; business law; family law; private international law

• 12.00.07 — Corporate law; energy law

• 12.00.08 — Criminal law and criminology; penal law

• 12.00.04 — Financial law; tax law; budget law

The faculty members are authors of textbooks, more than 10 monographs, and numerous teaching materials.
