The Finance and Accounting Department is a structural unit of the State University of Finance and Economics of Tajikistan and operates based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Accounting and Financial Reporting,” the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On State Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan,” the Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Labor Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and other regulatory legal acts governing the sector.

The structure of the Finance and Accounting Department includes:

  1. Head of the Department;
  2. Deputy Head of the Department;
  3. Payroll Division;
  4. Property Division;
  5. Student Division;
  6. Planning and Economic Forecasting Division.

The main functions of the Finance and Accounting Department are:

  • Planning and execution of the income and expenditure budget, monitoring the targeted use of funds;
  • Conducting accounting and recording financial transactions in accordance with legislation;
  • Preparation and submission of financial reports to the relevant authorities;
  • Internal control of financial discipline, prevention of violations, and misuse of funds;
  • Organization of payments to suppliers and accounting of accounts receivable and payable;
  • Calculation and payment of salaries, sick leave, bonuses, compensations, and vacation pay;
  • Preparation and submission of statistical, tax, and ADSIN reports;
  • Accounting of property, assets, liabilities, and depreciation of fixed assets;
  • Accounting for tuition contract funds, monitoring incoming funds, and reconciling with students.
