HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of “Management” was established in August 1998 under Order No. 83 within the Faculty of “Economics” of the DAH academic system under the name “Management and Marketing” as a specialized department for the “Management” program. On February 1, 2010, by Order No. 48, the department was renamed “Innovation Management,” and on June 28, 2011, it was renamed again as the Department of “Management.”

The department employs experienced specialists in economics and management: Head of Department — PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Nematov I.U.; Professor Aminov I.; Associate Professors: Nazaramanova D.M., Hamidov A.Kh., Khuramova Z.M., Qosimova S.I.; Senior Lecturers: Kholboboev R.B., Homidova M.; Assistants: Sharipov V., Karimov M., Karimov B.; and the department secretary Oripova M., who all contribute significantly to the development of the department.

Over the years, the department has been headed by well-known scholars, including: PhD in Economics, Assoc. Prof. Tojiboev I.Kh.; Doctor of Economics, Prof. Jonmamadov Sh.B.; Doctor of Economics, Prof. Fayzulloev M.Q.; Doctor of Economics, Prof. Bazarov Sh.Sh.; PhD in Economics, Associate Professors Nazaramanova D.M., Ashurov M.N., and Khojazoda D.Q. Their contributions played a major role in the establishment and advancement of the department. In the training of highly qualified specialists, great contributions were made by Tajik scholars—Doctors of Economics, Professors I. Aminov, Saidmurodzoda L.H., T.B. Ganiev, and Mirsaidov S.

Currently, the Department of “Management” is one of the leading departments of the Faculty of “Management and Economic Law.” In 2018, the department successfully passed international accreditation and received an international certificate, contributing to the preparation of specialists in economics and management.

The need to establish the department arose from the demand for highly qualified modern professionals for enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Tajikistan and abroad, including development and marketing departments of enterprises, private firms and associations, banks and insurance companies, investment and pension funds, and other commercial organizations that require professional knowledge in economics, management, and computer technology.

Since its establishment, the department has based its activities on educational plans, orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, rector’s directives, decisions of the University Academic Council, and faculty administration. The department’s teaching staff has developed educational programs and syllabi for specialized subjects. It is noteworthy that the Management Department prepares specialists who meet international standards.

Currently, the department trains specialists in the following areas:

1–26020200 – Management

Training managers, production managers, market analysts, organizational management consultants, government and institutional administrators, commercial representatives, and specialists in marketing relations. Graduates can work from specialist-analyst positions to top-level managers in national and international companies.

1-26020208 – Investment Management

Training specialists in investment management, financial market management, logistics management, warehouse management, investment portfolio development, direct and indirect investment advisory, strategic planning, and financial market analysis.

1-26020201 – Public Administration and Law

Training specialists in public administration, economics, and law — top managers, financial analysts, brokers, economic planners, investment consultants, heads of financial structures, insurance specialists, and professionals in various economic sectors.
