HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

 In accordance with Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Higher Professional Education and Higher Educational Institutions" and Clause 4 of the Model Regulations on Higher Professional Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Department of "Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing" was established as a specialized department by Order No. 36/I of the Rector of the Tajik Institute of Finance dated July 9, 2010. Subsequently, by Order No. 38/I of the Rector of the Tajik Institute of Finance dated July 12, 2011, the department was divided into two independent departments: "Accounting and Auditing" and "Statistics and Analysis."

Based on Decree No. 227 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated May 11, 2012, the Tajik Institute of Finance and the Tajik Institute of Economics were merged to form the Tajik Institute of Finance and Economics. In March 2018, in accordance with a decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Tajik Institute of Finance and Economics was renamed the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics. During this reorganization, the Department of Accounting retained its name and became part of the Faculty of Accounting and Statistics.

By Decision No. 1 of the Academic Council of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics dated May 30, 2014, and Order No. 39 of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan dated May 31, 2014, the university's structure was approved. Within the Faculty of Accounting and Statistics, the Department of Accounting and Auditing was confirmed. The head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing was appointed Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Rakhimov S.Kh.

In accordance with Order No. 114/I of the Rector of the Tajik Institute of Finance and Economics dated July 8, 2014, the aforementioned department was divided into two independent departments: "Accounting" and "Auditing and Inspection."

From November 2014 to January 2019, the duties of the head of the Department of Accounting were performed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Pirakov R.M. From February 2019 to February 2022, the position was held by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Madiev S. According to the order of the university rector dated February 16, 2022, the current head of the Department of Accounting is Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Bobomurodov B.E.

From 2009 to 2012, the following faculty members made significant contributions to the organization and development of the department: Sharifov Z.R., Rakhimov S.Kh., Rakhmonov A.M., Rakhimov Z., Madiev S., Bobomurodov B.E., Soliev N.N., Ismatov A.Kh., Bobomurodov P.Kh., Olimov D.A., Sultanova S.M., Sharifova R.N., Tilakmurodova S.D., Rakhmatov B.K., Rakhimova D.Z., and others. These faculty members actively participated in the establishment and development of the department, the introduction of new educational programs and methodologies, as well as in the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of accounting and auditing.

The activities of the department are carried out in accordance with educational standards and programs, curricula, orders, and directives of the rector, the faculty administration, decisions of the Academic Council of the university, as well as instructions and assignments from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. The teaching staff of the department develops textbooks, teaching aids, methodological guidelines, educational programs, and syllabi for specialized disciplines of the department within the framework of the credit-based learning system.

The Department of Accounting is one of the leading specialized departments of the university and trains specialists in the field of accounting in accordance with educational levels in the following areas:

- For the specialty 1-250108 – "Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing": Levels of study – bachelor's and master's degrees in full-time and distance learning formats. 

- For the specialty 1-25010801 – "Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing in Banks": Level of study – bachelor's degree in full-time and distance learning formats. 

- For the specialty 1-25010803 – "Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing in Budgetary and Scientific Institutions": Level of study – bachelor's degree in full-time and distance learning formats. 

- For the specialty 6D050801 – "Accounting and Auditing (6D050801 – Accounting and Auditing)": Level of study – doctoral studies (PhD) in full-time format. 

The department actively participates in the development and implementation of modern educational technologies, ensuring a high level of training for specialists in the field of accounting, analysis, and auditing.
