Vohidov Umar Mahmadievich, born in 1982, is an ethnic Tajik. He is married and has five children. In 2000, he entered the Tajik National University, Faculty of Financial Accounting, and graduated in 2005 with a degree in economics and mathematics. After graduating in 2005, he began working in the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Information Technology at the Tajik Economic Institute as an assistant.

On December 14, 2018, U.M. Vahidov successfully defended his PhD dissertation on "Improving Tax Burden Management Methods at the Level of Economic Entities (in the case of Small Enterprises in the Republic of Tajikistan)" at the Dissertation Council D 6.KOA -021 of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. He received the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD) in specialty 05.13.10 – Management in Socio-Economic Systems. He was also awarded the title of "Excellent Worker in Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan" by the Decision of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 5, 2022, No. 1315.
